Account Recovery

The goal of the recovery process is to regain access to your data and identity, not to create a new empty account.

If you can’t see your old data on a new device, first check that the account is the same, then review sync, recovery keys, and the old device’s status.

When recovering, troubleshoot in order: account, key, old device, sync status. Do not clear local data at the start.
