Tasks and Inbox

The inbox catches input; the task list holds actions. When they get mixed together, you end up facing both “not yet figured out” and “do it now” at the same time.

When you see “look into sync issues,” put it in the inbox first; when you organize it, change it to “reproduce the mobile sync failure and record the error message.”

| Situation | What to check first | Next step | | --- | --- | --- | | Don’t know where to start | Current page title and main entry points | Select only one item related to your current goal | | Result is wrong after an action | Status, empty state hints, access logs, or sync progress | Go back one level and troubleshoot step by step | | Worried about affecting data | Backup, sync, account, or permission documentation | Stop first, confirm the scope, then continue |

A good task should tell you what to do next, not just remind you that something vague exists.

After reading this section, go back to the task you were working on and pick one smallest action to continue: log an input, check a status, or open the relevant settings to confirm once.
