Signing in establishes your identity. You can use GranoFlow locally first, but once you involve multiple devices, subscription benefits, or restoration, you need to know which account you are currently signed in to.

Before switching devices, first confirm your account on the old device; after signing in on the new device, check that sync and data match your expectations.
